About Art
I moved to Brookfield in 1985 with my wife, Kathy and daughters Susan and Sarah, who graduated from BHS in 1990 and 1992 respectively. Kathy taught music in a CT public school district, but has since retired. I own and operate The Fairfield Factor inc. a marketing counsel and communications consultancy, which I launched in 1984. TFF primarily specializes in high-technology and industrial marketing with a concentration in medical devices and other precision manufacturing sectors.
Over the years, I have been active in Brookfield town government, serving on the Economic Development Commission, the Board of Education, Board of Selectmen and the Zoning Board of Appeals. I am presently a member of the Planning Commission.
I have a BA and MA in psychology with additional training in human relations at the doctoral level.
I continue to run several times a week although I'm not quite as fast as I used to be (by a longshot). Other interests include hiking...with my at-the-ready Border Collie, Jesse...and tent camping in various state forests...primarily in Massachusetts.
Both of our daughters are now in Brookfield with their families. Kathy and I enjoy getting together with them, our two great sons-in-law, our wonderful five grandsons, and our grand-dog, Max.
So life is good in Brookfield.
