Muddy Win in Oxford Puts BHS Boys in Playoffs

Boys soccer ends regular season with 9-1-6 record.

The Brookfield High School (BHS) boys soccer team closed their regular season with a muddy 5-1 victory at Oxford Wednesday, improving their record to 9-1-6.

A. J. Sussingham opened the Bobcat scoring, followed by Jon Serino for a 2-1 halftime lead. Billy Hunt, Rob Dauphin and Nick Ribeiro added second half scores, while Sussingham, Hunt and Steve Almeida were credited with assists and Tom Burkhart got the win in goal.

The Bobcats will host Pomperaug Friday at 6 p.m. at Brookfield Stadium in the first round of the SWC playoffs.
