School Bus Clips Oncoming Car
A school bus clipped the mirror of an oncoming vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
A Brookfield public school bus, operated by Jessica V. Abney, 30, of Brookfield, traveling east on Obtuse Road in Newtown encroached into the opposite lane of travel, colliding with a side mirror of a Ford cargo van headed in the opposite direction, operated by Michael S. Pickening, 28, of Torrington, at about 3:50 p.m., Tuesday, police said.
Police reported no injuries. Abney received a written warning for failure to keep right.
