Board of Ed Recognizes 2011's Top 10 Students

Brookfield High School seniors graduating with the 10 highest GPAs recognized at June meeting.

The Board of Education (BOE) recognized the 10 Brookfield High School (BHS) seniors with the highest cumulative grade point averages at its June 15 meeting and had them make brief presentations on their activities and college plans.

The top 10 included Dena Virzera, who will attend Western Connecticut State University in Danbury this fall; Kaitlin Palmer, University of Alabama; Shelja Patel, University of Connecticut at Storrs; Lena Wang, Carnegie Mellon; Kelsey Zimmerer, Northeastern University; Matt Consalvo, Boston College; Molly Deakin, University of West Virginia; Ryan Farias, Cornell University; Matthew Goodrich, Bowdoin College; and Emily Leonard, Marist College.
