BHS Honors Society Auction Aides Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
The follow press release was sent in by Danbury Hospital.
With good cause, March 18, 2011 was a proud day for the Brookfield High School (BHS) National Honor Society (NHS) members who raised $3,430 to help support Danbury Hospital’s new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
As members of Danbury Hospital’s Kids Care Club, these spirited and selfless students spent many tireless hours planning a well-executed and exciting event for the community.
Sponsored annually by the NHS, “” encourages its members to collectively organize every detail of its auction, including: soliciting donations for the complimentary dinner; babysitting for attendees; soliciting local businesses for auction items; decorating; and publicizing the event. Their hard work and dedication culminated in a very generous gift that will help provide families whose babies must stay in the NICU with a comfortable, private, state-of-the-art environment in which to welcome their newborns into the world.
