Police Blotter: DUI; Interferring With Emergency Call
The following arrest information was provided by the Brookfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, March 8
stopped Paul Liubicich, 32, of Manor Road, Brookfield, at 12:30 a.m. for traveling 51 mph in a 25 mph zone. After making contact with Liubicich, police determined that he was intoxicated and placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol and traveling unreasonably fast.
Liubicich was released on $100 bond with a court date set for March 20 in Danbury Superior Court.

Monday, March 5
A 17-year-old was arrested at 1:40 p.m. after allegedly dislodging the telephone cord from the wall outlet while the mother was calling 9-1-1 during a disagreement. The 17-year-old was charged with interfering with emergency calls and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 6.
