Forcing a Kiss Leads to Breach of Peace Charge

Man arrested after allegedly grabbing a hotel employee for a kiss.

A man was arrested at Newbury Inn Thursday after allegedly grabbing a female employee and giving her a kiss.

Onait Lopez-Dela Cruz, 25, was staying at Newbury Inn, his listed place of residence, on Sept. 12 when he allegedly took hold of a female employee’s arm and kissed her on the cheek.

The employee told police she made no insinuations or actions indicating interest in Lopez-Dela Cruz.

According to reports, the employee had been walking outside past Lopez-Dela Cruz’s hotel room when the incident occurred.

Lopez-Dela Cruz was placed under arrest and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

He was held on $500 bond for arraignment on Sept. 13 and released on written promise to appear in court again on Sept. 27.
