Fire Companies Knock Down Hearth Kitchen Fire

Firefighters respond to Monday morning kitchen fire at Hearth Restaurant.

Both Brookfield fire companies — Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and Candlewood Fire Company — responded to a possible grease fire that appears to have started in the kitchen of The Hearth Restaurant on Federal Road around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.

According to reports, the fire was knocked down before it could do extensive damage and there were no injuries, however emergency personnel remained on the scene afterward ventilating the building.

The ‘all clear’ was given around 10:15 a.m. Monday.

According to a man who answered the phone at the restaurant Monday morning, The Hearth will be closed for the next four days.
