Brookfield Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband in Back Twice

Wife arrested again and held the next day after returning home, a violation of her release.

A Brookfield woman was arrested twice in two days after allegedly stabbing her husband twice in the back then violating a condition of her release the next day by returning to their Deer Run Road home.

Brookfield police responded to a domestic violence complaint between a husband and wife at 39 Deer Run Road Saturday evening. Upon arriving, they found the husband was stabbed twice in the back during the altercation, according to police, and was transported to Danbury Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

After an investigation, the wife, Stacey Bencivengo, 44, of Deer Run Road, was arrested on charges of assault in the second and third degree and disorderly conduct. She posted $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 7.

The day before Bencivengo’s arraignment, officers were again called to 39 Deer Run Road, at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6. Bencivengo was found to be at the house, which violated the conditions of release. She was placed under arrest and brought to the Brookfield Police Department without further incident.

Bencivengo was held on $100,000 bond Sunday night and arraigned Monday morning on four charges, all of which are still awaiting a plea. She remains in custody on $30,000 bond pending her next court date, scheduled for Jan. 22.

The short answer is because they want to. If you spent twice at much they still would. EducationRead More personnel need to be monitored on social media like Patch.
