Brookfield Man: 'That's It, I'm Done,' DUI

Brookfield man charged Friday morning with driving under the influence after driving toward a Danbury police officer in his lane.

Danbury Police charged Mark Daab, 43, Brookfield, with driving under the influence and failure to grant half the highway after he drove toward oncoming traffic on Osborne Street after midnight Friday.

Police said Daab drove toward a Danbury Police officer in the officer's lane, and after being stopped, Daab reportedly jumped out of the car and said, "That's it, I'm done!"

Daab smelled of alcohol, police said, and failed all three field sobriety tests. He posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to answer the charge in Danbury Superior court on Feb. 25.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

I'm pretty sure $500 is the norm. If it was prostitution, it would have been more.
