'Still Don't Like the Idea of a Cat Being in a Cage'

A look at the comments from Patch account holders in the region.

From Brookfield Readers:

Angel in the Doorway

“I still don't like the idea of a cat being in a cage. My cat and dog run around and play and they don't belong in a shelter. Anyway, it says that all the cages are full so where do the cats go that need a place? And why are people getting rid of there cats any way? That’s all I'm going to say. They are animals and should be free.” —

"As a DAWS volunteer, I can assure everyone that the cats get plenty of time out of their cages to play indoors or out (in a safe enclosure) or just lounge around, as they please. They have numerous volunteers and staff members to interact with. While a forever home would be ideal for all the cats, DAWS does provide them with a loving, comfy and enriched environment until their adopters come in and find them. As for Martina, she has several special people in whose laps she loves to nestle, enjoying the companionship. She is living a quality life with lots of affection as she awaits her forever home." —

From Neighboring Patch Towns:

“There are good and bad employees everywhere. I usually feel bad for teachers, they have a tough job and they get no love. However administrators and a slew of town employees give the rest a bad name.” -
