Calling Marty Flynn and Matt Grimes

Where are they during this whole fiasco? We need to hear from those that hand picked Bill Tinsley to run Brookfield.  They need to make a public statement.  How could they expose Brookfield to this potential for wrongdoing? All we have heard is a blurb in the papers from Marty "I just find it hard to believe. ... This is the first I've heard of it,".  My question for the RTC Chairman and Vacancy Committee is "What process do you use to vet your candidates?".  We have all heard the shouts that this could have been avoided with $30 and a membership to www.intelius.com . Do you run background checks on your candidates? If so, what exactly do you investigate, and did you knowingly endorse a candidate for First Selectman who has a case pending for FELONY EMBEZZLEMENT? If not, what are your criteria for selecting an individual to entrust our town? Have background and criminal histories been done on the members of the Board Of Finance who you have nominated to control our entire town budget? What about the Board of Education who have access to the schools and children of Brookfield? The people of Brookfield need and deserve answers NOW.
And to my fellow citizens of Brookfield, who all became so entrenched in political affiliations that they were willing to overlook accusations of embezzlement by Bill Tinsley against our own children, you got what you voted for.
