Valentina Setti, 83

February 28, 1929 - October 2, 2012

Valentina B. (Lionetti) Setti of Brookfield, CT, passed away October 2, 2012, at home peacefully surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born in Stamford on February 28, 1929 Valentina was the true love of her predeceased husband, Joseph of 54 years. She will also be missed by her brother Alfred Lionetti. She was loving mother to four, Concetta Main and her husband, James Jr. of Brookfield CT, Valentina Kopko and her husband, Thomas Jr. of Danbury Ct, Joseph Setti Jr and his wife Jennifer of Brookfield Ct, (estranged) Joanne Brunetti.

She was Mema to twelve grandchildren. William Brunetti Jr. and wife Tammy, Katy Hyde and partner Russell Sanzeri, James Main lll and fiance Alexis Wilson, Katie Brunetti, Morgan Breece and husband Tyrone Sr, Joseph Main, Tiffany Setti, Brittany Setti, Jeremy Setti, Lexi Setti, Joseph Setti lll. Nine great grandchildren, Zoe,Tyrone Jr., Hayden Valentina, Jadyn, Gianna, Hailey, Debra, Hunter and Jackson. A son-in-law Wayne Hyde and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Valentina shared herself and her love with everyone she met. She warmed our hearts as much as she filled our bellies. Crocheting beautiful hats and mittens for her grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren was her pride and joy. Valentina's affection for animals filled her home with comfort and delight. Especially her four legged companion Ziti Alfredo.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 4 at Brookfield Funeral Home 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 5 at Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys 138 Candelwood Lake Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.
