Myrna Grossman, 76, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2011, leaving behind a husband of over 50 years, and four grown children that were her pride and joy. Myrna had a good, full, and happy life. She was especially proud of her children, each of whom has chosen their own path and who were raised to be curious and take part in the world around them. One of Myrna’s proudest accomplishments in Brookfield was the planning, development, and construction of Brooks Quarry senior housing. Myrna had a love of classical music and was a subscriber of the Metropolitan Opera for over 50 years. Myrna leaves behind 6 loving grandchildren.
Her family is grateful to the caring, comforting, and compassionate staff on 8 East at Danbury Hospital who attended to her needs during the last week of her illness.

Services will be held between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, August 29, at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, or the Brookfield Friends of Library.
