John Fagan, 82

John Fagan, age 82, of Brookfield, passed away on Friday, May 4, at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Marilyn (Wood) Fagan. John was born in Saranac Lake, NY on January 26, 1930, son of the late Edward J. and Gertrude (Lynch) Fagan.

John joined the U.S. Army in 1948 and served in Germany until 1952. After the service he attended Henry Abbott Technical School. John was employed as a design engineer at Perkin Elmer Corp in Norwalk and retired from there in 1991 after 30 years of service. After retirement John and his wife traveled throughout the United States and spent many winters in Ft. Myers, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn and their children; Linda Rajcula and her husband George of Danbury; Laura Weimar and her husband Randolph of New Milford; and Gregory Fagan and his wife Karen of New Preston. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Candice Jurgens, Cheyenne and Tanner Fagan and Benjamin Weimar. John is also survived by his sisters, Jane Singer of Atlanta, GA and Katherine Leheny and her husband Edward of Milford, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Edward Fagan, and his sisters, Mary Sweeney, Gertrude Trowbridge and Geraldine Cassel. 

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, at , Brookfield. Burial of cremains will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Marguerite Church, Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield or Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810.
