In Loving Memory of Mary Jane Westlake, 64

Mary Jane Westlake, 64, of Brookfield, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY after a brief illness. She was the wife of Mark D. Westlake.

Mary Jane was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Hugh A. and May Ledger Haggerty. She was a 1966 graduate of St. Edmund’s High School in Brooklyn and attended Pace University.

Mary Jane moved to Brookfield from Stamford in 1981. A former purchaser with American Cyanamid, she retired in 2000 after 18 years there. An active member of St. Marguerite Church in Brookfield, Mary Jane was also active with the Brookfield YMCA Swim Program.

Besides her husband, survivors include her daughter: Shea E. Westlake of Brookfield; her brother: Hugh Haggerty of Florida; her sisters: Sr. Therese M. Haggerty, OP, of Michigan, Patricia Pearce of Brooklyn, NY and Kathryn Haggerty of Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marguerite Church, Brookfield, with the Rev. Shawn W. Cutler, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
