Peter Nicholas Thompson, 72, of Brookfield, died in his home on Thursday, December 27. He was born in Bronx, NY on September 30, 1940, son of the late Alfred Thompson and Marion Miller. He worked as a Draftsman and Design Engineer.
Peter was an active and dedicated member of the Brookfield Community. He proudly served on several boards as the Town Historian. He also volunteered his time and effort to a number of organizations, including the Brookfield Boy Scouts of America.
Peter was an accomplished musician and an avid pianist. He enjoyed sharing this passion and talent with others.

He will be sadly missed by his three sons, Michael Thompson and his wife, Lynn of Raleigh, NC, Brian Thompson of Cottonwood, AZ, and Matthew Thompson and his wife, Nelia of Danbury; and his five grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 2 at 6 p.m. at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m.

In keeping with his love of the Brookfield Community, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peter’s name may be made to The Brookfield Municipal Historical Society or other local Brookfield Charity.
