Bronze Star Recipient Edward Fiddler, 53

July 3, 1959 - June 7, 2013

Edward John Fiddler, 53, of Brookfield, devoted husband of 29 years to Terry (Scott) Fiddler died on Friday, June 7 at Danbury Hospital. He was born July 3, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Captain R. E. Fiddler and the late Dora (Atamura) Fiddler.

Edward received his Bachelor's Degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY in 1981 and received his Master's Degree in Finance from Fairfield University in 1991. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during Operation Desert Storm and was awarded a Bronze Star. Edward was Senior Vice President at Marsh McLennan for 19 years. He was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.

In addition to his father and his wife of 29 years, he will be missed by his son, Timothy Fiddler; his sister, Maria Leukart and her husband Jay; two nieces, Sarah Kelly and her husband Brian and Ashley Leukart; as well as two great nephews, Connor and Jack Kelly.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10 at St. Joseph Church, 159 Whisconier Road, Brookfield. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between the hour of 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield.
