Hmmm...a review of the town's tax rolls shows the Newbury Village properties consistently underassessed compared to their selling prices by a significant amount. Perhaps this should be investigated as a possible mistake to be corrected. Values certainly have not gone up this year in Brookfield as the sales records for the entire year indicate clearly and they were just re-assessed last year. After all, everyone gets the same mill rate but everyone gets assessed differently apparently. Run a comparison of sales prices to assessments for the last twelve months, property by property - area by area - development by development and you'll be surprised at the results!
