Historical Society Lecture Topic: Presidential War Powers

The Brookfield Museum and Historical Society: Lecture at Brookfield Museum on Presidential War Powers, Monday, May 6, 2013 at 7:30 PM

The Brookfield Historical Society, as part of their American Military Forum, will host a multi-media presentation on the subject of Presidential War Powers.

The forum will take place on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 7:30 P.M., in the Brookfield Museum. The speaker will be local attorney and retired Probate Judge, Joseph Secola, also a member of the Society’s Board of Directors.   

Secola will focus on the issue of what is constitutionally required for our nation to go to war and address the   Presidential war powers and their interaction with the Congressional powers to declare and fund wars.  Following the program complimentary refreshments will be served.
