Restorative Yoga at YogaSpace

Restorative Yoga with Gloria Owens

Treat yourself to two delicious hours of Restorative Yoga, a mini vacation for your body, mind and spirit!

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, passive practice in which pillows, blankets, etc. are used to support you so you can rest your body; stretch your muscles; lower your heart rate and blood pressure; calm your nervous system, and experience a peaceful state of deep relaxation. No yoga experience necessary. If you're stressed out or suffer from insomnia, this may be just your ticket to a quiet mind, relaxed body and a good night's sleep!

About Gloria Owens: Gloria is a co-owner of YogaSpace and a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor who has been teaching yoga since 1994 and practicing for more than 20 years. Her popular classes offer an eclectic mix of styles in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere, and her compassionate and intuitive teaching style makes each class a unique experience. She completed her Restorative Yoga training in January of 2013. "I find that as I get older, my body craves real down-time, deep rest and a break from our overwhelming world", says Gloria. "Restorative Yoga is a profound, gentle and transformational practice that defies all the effort, perfectionism and muscle that you may find in traditional active yoga forms. Come join me...and learn to unwind, relax and let go!"
