Wintery Mix Expected Wednesday into Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is expecting a wintry mix to fall beginning Wednesday morning and stretching into Thursday.

According to the Winter Storm Watch, accumulations of 2 to 3 inches of snow, sleet and freezing rain is predicted, along with a “trace of ice.” Temperatures should be in the mid to upper 30s.

Snow is expected to begin falling Wednesday morning into the afternoon, mixing with sleet and freezing rain into the evening, then changing to all rain by Thursday morning, forecasts said.

These conditions are expected to make travel hazardous for Wednesday and overnight into Thursday.

Check back with Brookfield Patch for school delays and closings and send in your snow pictures and videos to Aaron@Patch.com.
