Danbury, New Milford Hospitals Cancel Outpatient Services

The following release was issued by the Western Connecticut Health Network.

Western Connecticut Healthcare, parent company of Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital issued the following statement.

As a result of Hurricane Sandy, Western Connecticut Health Network is cancelling all outpatient services throughout the region beginning today at 12 noon and through end of day on Tuesday, October, 30, 2012. This includes all outpatient laboratory service centers and blood drawing stations, imaging and other outpatient testing, physician appointments at the Danbury Hospital Medical Arts Center and with all of the Western Connecticut Medical Group offices.  

Patients with appointments on Wednesday and later this week are encouraged to call to reconfirm their appointments before leaving home.

Both Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital are fully operational. Hospital clinical staff are being asked to report to work as directed by their supervisors.

We’d like to reassure you that Western Connecticut Health Network, Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital are carefully watching the storm track and are ready with contingency plans should we experience severe weather.
