Days Gone By

Oh I remember it oh so well

Bologna, wax paper I could tell

Delicious aromas, cool drinks to go

Mama was planning a picnic and off we would go

The aunts and uncles would meet under “our tree”

Prospect Park was our estate to our family

The blankets covered the grass and music filled the air

Laughter, old stories we didn’t have a care

Beautiful memories of days that have passed

When happiness came just be sitting on the grass

Eating, family a really happy day

Just being together, what more can I say.
