Congregational Church of Brookfield celebrates "45 years of Fabulous Fairs."

The church's annual Yankee Fair and Barn Sale is set for Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the barn opening at 8 a.m. for some great bargains.
Find booths filled with handmade quilts, books, crafts, knitted items, baked goods, plants, and seasonal décor and gifts as well as Vermont Cheese and homemade baked goods.

Explore the barn for gently used treasures, including furniture, home goods, bicycles, electronics and antiques galore. Brookfield-famous entertainer, Vanilla Swirl, will be crafting balloon figures throughout the day and we will have carnival games for kids of all ages to enjoy.
Browse and bid on silent auction items while listening to live music and enjoying food from the grill or the Coffee Shop. Or treat yourself to a quieter lunch with table service and pumpkin chiffon pie at our White Steeple Inn.

Admission and parking for the Yankee Fair are free. At least half of all proceeds go to the Church's outreach programs which, this year, include Ann's Place, the Regional Hospice and the Church's own Refugee Resettlement Ministry.

The Congregational Church of Brookfield, at the crossroads of Routes 25 and 133 in Brookfield Center, invites all to enjoy a Brookfield and a New England tradition, The Yankee Fair and Barn Sale. For more information, call 203-775-1259.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
