Brookfield Youth Dies Suddenly Sunday Evening
Recent Brookfield grad Jose Schelmetty reportedly passed away this weekend.
A recent Brookfield High School grad, Jose Schelmetty, reportedly passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, according to a report in the News-Times.
Police determined the death was the result of a medical issue, News-Times’ Nanci Hutson reports.
Schelmetty, who was 17 years old, wore No. 57 while helping hold the Bobcats' offensive and defensive lines until he graduated earlier this year.
Hutson also spoke with a former teacher of Schelmetty’s, who remembered him as “quiet and inquisitive,” despite his stature.
