Groski presented with Melvin Jones Award

At a recent meeting of the Brookfield Lions, Richard Groski was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. Shown presenting the award to Mr. Groski is Candy Smith, President of the Brookfield Lions. The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the highest award of the Lions Club International Foundation. It is presented in recognition of humanitarian work.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.3 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond Disability and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet twice weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
