10 Most Irish Neighborhoods in Connecticut

A look at the largest concentrations of Irish-Americans in Connecticut.

After looking at Irish ancestry in Connecticut, Patch pulled together all the data to determine the Most Irish Neighborhoods in the state.

Using American Community Survey (part of the U.S. Census Bureau) estimates by zip code, the above list shows the 10 Connecticut communities with the most residents of Irish, Celtic and Scotch-Irish heritage by population.

The list begins with No. 10: Waterford, which just happens to take its name from an eponymous town in southern Ireland.

Flip through the slideshow above to see which neighborhood came in at No. 1.
