Gerry Malkin Jazz Collective at The Brookfield Library

The Brookfield Library's Afternoons at the Arbor Concert Series presents the Gerry Malkin Jazz Collective on Sunday, October 20, 2013 starting at 3:00 p.m. 

Gerry Malkin (Tenor Sax) has worked with Tito Puente, The Four
Tops, Adam Nussbaum and others.  Pianist Jeff Pitson has performed
with such important figures as Joe Henderson, Eddie Henderson and
John Handy.  He also appeared at the Newport Jazz Festival in NY. 
Guitarist Chris Morrison teaches at WCSU and has worked with
Richie Cole, John Patitucci and many others. 



Winner of the 1997 International Society of Bassists jazz bass
competition, Mike McGuirk has worked with John Abercrombie and
Marc Copeland, to name a few.  Drummer Bobby Leonard has worked
with The Woody Herman Big Band and Dave Liebman among many others.



The concert will be held in the Community Room and is free through
a sponsorship by Betsy and Paul McIlvaine. Donations gratefully
accepted. Refreshments will follow the concert. The Brookfield
Library is located at 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25) in
Brookfield.
