Brookfielder Arrested in NY with Stun Gun, Pot
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.
Putnam County police say a Brookfield man, who was allegedly driving on a suspended license, carried a weapon and drugs as he traveled through Southeast earlier this week.
According to a report from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Sheriff Edward Kennedy arrested Brookfield resident Samphong Ngov, 34, around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say Kennedy stopped Ngov on Route 121 after he spotted a broken taillight on the defendant's vehicle.
During the stop, Kennedy found that Ngov's "privilege to drive in New York had been suspended in 2009 for failure to answer a summons." The deputy also found an electronic stun gun and marijuana, according to the report.
