Police Chief Robin Montgomery is in his tenth year leading the Brookfield Police Department. After 26 years with the FBI, Montgomery went into the private sector in 1997 before returning to the ranks of civil service.
Brookfield is a quiet community with few troubles, according to Montgomery, especially now that the Route 7 extension has lightened traffic through the town center. In Montgomery's assessment, the key to good policing is maintaining open lines of communication with the community, hardly an impossible task in a tight-knit village community like Brookfield.
