Open Invitation to the October Meeting of the Women's Club of Brookfield

Our next meeting is on October 10, at 6:30 PM at Franco's in Brookfield. Meeting will be preceded by a buffet dinner.

The Women's Club of Brookfield is a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the community.

Our main function is to aid our residents by donating funds and services to those families who are in need. We hold fundraisers, monthly raffles and collect grocery gift cards to donate to the Brookfield Social Services.

In June we honor a Brookfield High School graduate with a scholarship contribution as well as honoring a local woman with a "Woman of the Year" award for her contributions to the town of Brookfield.

We hold monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
