I am a big fan of nostalgia. What is nostalgia? There are many definitions, but I interpret it as: A discovery of the thing we kept from a moment in our past. The “thing” can be relived through any of the five senses, each able to conjure a positive memory.
When I see something I recognize while digging through the past I get to enjoy either my own memories, or a kind of faux sense of what this find might evoke in other people. I like making people feel nostalgic.
