Last Sunday WEBELOS from Pack 135, their parents, Junior Gardeners from HHES, several members from the Garden Club of Brookfield and a few other friends of the garden, came together to put the garden to bed for the winter. What an amazing group of hardworking people!
All the beds were cleaned out and weeded. Cardboard donated from Brookfield Glass was put down between the beds and covered with mulch and the fence was mended. The garden is in good shape and ready for planting in the spring. Everyone's hard work was greatly appreciated.
In addition to thanking all those who came out to help we would like to thank Dennis DiPinto and Brookfield Parks and Recreation for sending over wood chips and a truck to take away debris. We couldn’t have done it without your help! This was a fine example of community members pulling together to get the job done!
