Brookfield Board of Ed Recognizing Students Wednesday Who Helped Hurricane Sandy Victims

Students who helped with the Hurricane Sandy victims on December 1st will be recognized tonight by the Brookfield Board of Education at 7pm in the BHS Library Learning Center.

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

Tonight the people, in particular the students who went to Staten Island to help the Hurricane Sandy victims have been invited to be recognized by the Brookfield Board of Education at their regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting starts at 7:00pm in the BHS Library Common Learning Center. You can watch in person or if you have Charter Communications it is on the public access channel 17. A slide show of some of the photos that were taken will be shown as well.

We wish to thank the following people for participating in helping the Hurricane Sandy victims on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Midland Avenue in Staten Island especially Mike Smith’s in-laws, Phil and Janet Misseri, who are residents of Staten Island.

They were instrumental in working with Angela Haselwood to set this event up.   The Misseri’s also met us there and helped out and have been volunteering in that neighborhood since the Hurricane hit.

We acknowledge all of the other clubs and their advisors who helped to bring and organize some of the items such as Lisa Bonavita and Students of Service (SOS), Teresa Brooks and DECA, Kelli Mohan and the Key Club and Sue Troupe and Scott Zucca the Robotics Team.
