Kids of all ages enjoyed cooling off in Candlewood Lake at Town Park Beach Wednesday.
Brookfield mother of five Chris Buzzell said her kids are at the beach Monday through Friday throughout the summers.
With the Parks Revitalization bond going to public hearing Wednesday night, Buzzell said she would like to see the beach renovated, especially the retaining wall.
“It would be a bigger attraction to the town if it were fixed,” she said, noting that families come from Bethel and other neighboring towns to enjoy the beach. “If it was made more attractive I think you’d have a bigger turnout.”
