Week Two Results For Bobcats Athletics

Baseball (2-1): The Bobcats got a wild 6-5 walk-off win against New Milford (1-4) Wednesday, getting a complete game from pitcher Ryan Berry.  They were not able to carry over the momentum into Thursday's showdown with Masuk (3-2), falling 14-2.

Softball (5-0, 1-0): The Lady Bobcats continued to roll, defeating New Fairfield (3-3, 1-0) on the road 4-1, Joel Barlow (2-3, 0-1) at home 3-0 and Masuk (1-4, 0-1) on the road 3-2.  They were led by ace-pitcher Kayla Berardi in all three wins.

Boys Lacrosse (3-1, 1-1): The Bobcats had a strong week, dominating on the road against SWC foe Notre Dame-Fairfield  (0-4, 0-3) 14-0 and following that up with a solid 15-8  home win against Westhill (2-2).  Seniors Tom Gilligan and Travis Pastor led the boys team with eight goals apiece in both games  combined.

Girls Lacrosse (3-1, 2-1): The Lady Bobcats dominated their home game against SWC foe Notre Dame-Fairfield (1-3, 1-3), being led by Alexa Foldy and Kathryn Marron in the 17-3 victory.  They then fell on the road 17-9 to SWC rival Newtown (4-0, 3-0) in a game that was much closer than the score would indicate.

Boys Tennis (1-2): The tennis team was shutout 7-0 at home against Weston (3-0) in their only match of the week.

Girls Tennis (3-2): The girls were shutout 7-0 on the road against Weston (4-0) but came back to win a tough home match 4-3 against Lauralton Hall (1-4).
