PHOTOS: CT Special Olympics Torch Run

Add your photos and videos as the torch passes through your town.

In advance of this weekend’s 2012 Special Olympics Summer Games, local volunteers will be carrying the torch through several of our Patch towns and we want your help to preserve the memory of this special event.

As more than 3,500 law enforcement officers, community members and athletes participate in the torch run, covering over 640 miles in 100 Connecticut towns, your Patch editors will be out snapping photos and taking videos along several legs, but we want to see your spirit, too. Upload photos and videos from the parade or, better yet, pics and clips featuring the Special Olympian in your life as they prepare for the 2012 games. Be sure to include a caption telling us who is pictured, where they are from and what events they plan to participate in.

[Need help uploading your photos and videos? .]

Check out this full breakdown of all 10 legs of the torch run, finishing at the opening ceremonies at Moore Field House on the Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) campus in New Haven.
