The top-ranked Bethel-Brookfield-Danbury (BBD) Icecats used an all senior starting line-up to get off to a fast start and then held on to post a 5-4 win over No. 3 St. Bernard's/Norwich Free Academy on Senior Night.
Nick Melvin, DJ Scott and Steve Hallock started up front with Nick Blaszka and Steve Segiet on defense and Ryan Campbell in goal to spark the 'Cats. Trevor Kurjiaka led the offense with a hat trick while Hallock and Steve Almieda netted one each and Campbell made 25 saves to hold off the Saints.
Next up for BBD is the regular season finale at Milford followed next week by the SWC playoffs.
