Women's Soccer Team Seeking Players

Valley Fire, an over 30 women’s soccer team, based in Oxford, is seeking players for the spring season.  Players must turn 30 by 12/31/12, although goalkeepers can be 28. The team plays in the Nutmeg Women’s League, and games are Sundays at 4 pm.  The league is considered recreational; however play is competitive and skills/experience are necessary. Valley Fire practices Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.  Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to practice, whether or not they play on the team.  Please call Susan for more information 203-232-0213.

UPDATE on Norma, lost dog in Newtown: Carolee Mason (Newtown's Animal Control Officer) is watchingRead More her from a distance at the moment, armed with catfood to tempt her closer. The foster mom is on her way there again, this time with chicken, and Laura is on her way with hamburger. Problem is, this dog is VERY shy, skittish and quick to run away.
