All school-aged children (entering grades Kindergarten through 6th grade) are invited to be part of the excitement as Brookfield’s only Ecumenical Vacation Bible School gears up for another year! Each year, representatives from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and The Congregational Church of Brookfield work together to present God’s word to local children. The theme this year is Gospel Light’s Son Rise.Son Rise will have children “Trekking” and “Exploring” as they “Discover the Adventures” of Jesus’ love through Bible stories, arts and crafts, and uplifting music and games, we are sure that our scavengers will take away lessons of love and memories of laughter that last long after VBS is over.Come experience the adventure at St. Joseph Church from July 9th thru 13th. Registration forms are available at the church office, or email lisamsweeting@hotmail.com to have a form emailed to you. Cost is $20 per child, with a maximum $45 per family. Classroom experiences are for those children entering grades Kindergarten through 6th grade, and a CIT program (including service hours) for those entering grades 7 and 8. Assistant teaching opportunities are available for those in high school and we are always looking for adult volunteers in other areas.Questions? Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
