The Brookfield High School (BHS) boys soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to seven with wins this week over Notre Dame, Oxford and Stratford and now stand at 5-0-2 for the season.
Against Notre Dame, Mike Goulart scored in the first half and Billy Hunt in the second to provide all the offense that goalkeeper Austin DaCunha and the Bobcat’s stingy team defense needed for a 2-0 win.
On Saturday, at home against a stubborn Oxford side, Goulart's late goal assisted by Hunt broke a scoreless tie for a 1-0 win. DaCunha recorded his fourth shutout of the season behind another strong defensive effort led by Jon Leonard, Tom Walker and Steve Almeida.

Monday, at Stratford, Rob Dauphin's two goals led the way to a 3-1 Bobcat victory. After Stratford cut the lead in half, A.J. Sussingham's low strike inside the far post provided the final margin and DaCunha sealed the win with five saves. Goulart had two assists and Sussingham one for BHS.
The Bobcats will next host rival Pomperaug on Thursday night.
