BBD Sweeps Annual Hockey Jamboree
Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury blanks three teams to take high school jamboree.
The Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury (BBD) Icecats won the annual high school hockey jamboree Saturday night at the Danbury Ice Arena, defeating Joel Barlow 1-0, Newtown 2-0 and New Fairfield-Immaculate 1-0.
Each matchup in the tournament consisted of one 15-minute period.
Defensemen Scott Martin, Matt Hallock, Nick Blaszka and Billy Hunt were solid in front of goalies Ryan Campbell, Louis Dibble and C.J. Petruska to preserve the shutout.

Steve Sieget, D.J. Scott, Jon Leonard and Nick Blaszka scored for BBD, who open the regular season at home Wednesday night against Greeley, NY.
