Schools Open Monday with Adjusted Schedules, Bus Routes

Brookfield schools will reopen on Monday, November 7, with a few changes to bus stops and routes.  

When school reopens it will be an A day at Brookfield High School and students will receive important information about the close of quarter one in Flex.

Quarter one will be extended and students will be given additional time to complete work that they have been assigned as a result of the events of this past week.  

Information about the close of quarter one will be communicated to parents and the community via enews and automated dialer Monday afternoon.  

Although most roads are now passable and safe, there will most likely be delays due to caution being taken to ensure student safety.

All routes and stops will continue to be evaluated daily, any changes will be communicated as quickly as possible.

An updated list of transportation adjustments:

Oakcrest & Valley View

This area is now open. Buses will be following the normal route, no stop changes needed. 

North Mountain Road and Main Drive

Both areas are open, however there may be some delays.

Candlewood Shores

There are still some low wires in the Shores. However, buses will be able to go down Longview and out Berkshire — stops will be at Longview and South Lakeshore or Dogwood and Longview.

North Lakshore is now open, the stop at the ball fields will not be necessary. 

Deer Run

This area is now open.

South Obtuse

Road remains closed on the Newtown end, so the bus will go all the way to the Brookfield end of South Obtuse, then turn around to come back up the road. There will be delays. 

Old Middle

This road is now passable, students will be picked up at their normal stops. 

Crestview

This area is now passable, students will be picked up at their normal stops. 

Powderhorn/Pocono Ridge/Knollcrest/Red Barn Lane  

This area is now passable, students will be picked up at their normal stops.  

White Pine

Students will need to meet the bus at the White Pine/Cedar Hill intersection. 

Riverford

This area is now passable, students will be picked up at their normal stops.
