Navigating the Healthcare System

 "Navigating the Health Care System with Success" will be discussed at the Brookfield Senior Center on Friday, June 18 at noon. Joan Garbow, a licensed clinical social worker and professional geriatric care manager in private practice, will discuss how to navigate the healthcare system more effectively. She will cover topics such as how to make the most of your doctor visits, managing a hospitalization, coping with discharge planning, making the best healthcare decisions, understanding Medicare basics, and how to be an effective advocate for an elderly family member. This seminar is geared towards seniors and family members caring for elderly or disabled relatives.
   
    Joan Garbow is recognized by healthcare professionals as an extremely knowledgeable and effective advocate for her clients. With over 20 years of experience in social work and healthcare, Joan Garbow is considered an expert in the field of geriatric care management.
