Get Help Choosing the Best Medicare Plan

Seniors should have received their Annual Notice of Change, (ANOC) advising them of any cost or formulary changes to their Medicare Part D Benefit. November 15 through December 31 is the time when people on Medicare are free to decide which Medicare prescription drug plan is right for them.

Everyone on Medicare is encouraged to review your current coverage to see if it will meet your needs in 2010.

If you chose to do nothing, you will be automatically re-enrolled in your current plan. If you find a better plan and enroll in that plan, your new plan will take care of everything for you.

Join Peter Cronin at Brookfield Senior Center on Friday, November 5, at 12:30 p.m. Following Peter, there will be a presentation by Tania Lee from Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging.

Tania will discuss the benefits and eligibility requirements for the Medicare Savings Program. This program will pay for the Medicare Part B monthly premium (usually $96.40) and possibly Medicare co-pays and deductibles for Medicare covered services for lower income Medicare enrollees. A great program to help you save money.
