Brookfield Museum Presents American Military Forum

Dave Montgomery of Newtown, an accomplished presenter at Brookfield Historical Society's Civil War Forums, will give a multimedia presentation on the crucial events that followed Lee's surrender at Appomattox.

Montgomery is a former Marine officer with a life-long interest in military history.  This presentation will focus on Lincoln's assassination, other Confederate Army surrenders, continued southern guerilla warfare, and the movement towards reconciliation and reconstruction.

The public is invited to attend. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
