AARP Safe Driving Class

The Brookfield Library along with AARP will be hosting a Driver Safety Program. The AARP Driver Safety Program is now a 4-hour, one-day course that offers the same information as the previous 8-hour course.

The cost is $12.00 for AARP members or $14.00 for nonmembers, and the fee covers all classroom materials. The program is open to drivers 50+. Participants will refine existing driving skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques. They will review how to handle adverse driving conditions and traffic hazards and learn about the effects of aging and medication on driving, as well as much more. Most insurance companies offer a rate reduction to graduates of the course -- check with your insurance company to determine your personal discount.

To preregister for the course, contact The Brookfield Library at 203-775-6241 or register online. Please make checks payable to AARP. The cost of the course must be paid by Monday, June 6, by check payable to AARP. Because of the shorter course, the program will start at 10:30 a.m. sharp and late arrivals may not be admitted.
