BHS Senior Athletes Gain Awards, Scholarships
Student-athletes honored by Booster Club at annual event Tuesday.
The Senior Athlete Awards ceremony was held Tuesday night in the Brookfield High School (BHS) Auditorium. The ceremony was to honor all senior varsity athletes, those with 8 Varsity letters (16 students) and those with 12 Varsity Letters — Christopher Ackell and Spencer Mannion. In addition, 16 very special scholarships were given out to the following seniors:
- Marines' Distinguished Athlete: Kathryn Marron and Spencer Mannion
- Athletic Coordinator Spirit Award: Morgan O'Dell and Kyle Tolle
- SWC Leadership: Samantha Carlucci and Chris Ackell
- CIAC Scholar Athlete: Emily Leonard and Matt Goodrich
- Frank Gavel Sportsmanship Award: Kristie Pino and Alex Van Hoof
- Robert Brown Leadership Award: Kelsey Zimmerer and Ryan Murphy
- Senior Scholar Athlete: Shelja Patel and Matt Consalvo
- Athlete of the Year: Jamie Bickelhaupt and Brian Kelly
The Booster Club is tremendously proud of all the BHS student-athletes and very honored to sponsor this annual event, these scholarships and recognitions.
