MAP: Brookfield Property Sales Up 110 Percent in 2nd Half of 2013

Large spike in the number of homes sold but average price remained even.

The interactive map above shows Brookfield property sales from Jan. 1, 2013 through mid-December of this year.

A similar map posted in June showed 89 sales recorded from the beginning of the year through June 14. The second half of the year saw more than twice the number of home sales, 187.

In correlation, gross sales were almost double for the second half of the year, going from $33.6 million to mid-June to $66.6 million in the second half.

However, Brookfield homebuyers spent about the same amount whether they bought in the spring or fall, with the average property selling for $381,731 in the first half of the year and $356,227 in the second half.

Sales ranged from $13,538 for a small piece of land on Kellogg Street in June to $1.6 million for a home on Twin Rocks Road that sold two weeks ago.

The total of all sales recorded through the year comes to just over $100.2 million, with the average property selling for $364,388.

(While the map includes the majority of 2013 sales, not all transfers are shown.)
